Eric Barclay is an illustrator and sculptor who reuses different materials to create delightful pieces of art. For instance the lion above was painted onto a mustard bottle and the penguin, Mr Shackelton, was created from a discarded street lamp bulb and spare lumber. I was just reading a satire on making art from salvaged materials - think crocheted expired macaroni and glitter. Obviously a lot can go wrong there, but Barclay's work is far beyond the scope of the book and gives the term "recycled" a darling makeover. Check out more of Barclay's stuff at his shop.
